I'm Dave Fairchild, currently residing in Shawnee, KS with my wife Darlene, three kids, and a black cat.

I graduated from college with a Bachelor's degree in computer science/business, and have done custom application development for most of my IT career. During this time I've used a variety of languages including ASP.NET MVC, C#.NET, Lotus Notes, XHTML, SQL, CSS, XML, VX-REXX, SOLIS, Easel, and Visual Basic.

I grew up in northwestern Pennsylvania, where I acquired a lifelong appreciation for the six-time (and CURRENT) champion Pittsburgh Steelers. After graduating from Andrews University, I moved to Kansas to work for Shawnee Mission Medical Center. In 1991, I switched from the medical industry to financials, and started a new position with American Century Investments. Then in 2009, I joined the public sector, working in Topeka for AJLA in the Kansas Department of Commerce.

Outside of work, I enjoy cycling, photography, reading, writing, coaching baseball, dark chocolate, backgammon, and volunteering at the school where my son attends. I'm also partial to my wife's cooking!
